Sensory Systems of Animals: Biology and Behavior

45,00

The aim of  Sensory Systems of Animals: Biology and Behavior is to provide a knowledge base and perspective on the sensory systems of humans and other vertebrates, as well as arthropods and molluscs. Human activities are changing the perceptual world of animals. To reduce such dangers, this will require a greater understanding of how animals react, physiologically and behaviorally, to anthropogenic impacts. The emphasis is on research, in the behavioral/ethological and neuroscientific fields.

  • Mark Hollins. PhD on “Sensory Topics of Animals”. He received UNC’s Distinguished Teaching Award for Post-Baccalaureate Instruction. He is the pioneer and creator of a course on “Animal Senses”, after realizing there were no books on the evolutionary perspective and the and the promotion of research in this field. He decided to write this book to fill the gap.
